8th November 1916.

Gg. 7062 F.1.

Alterations and Additions No. 202.

Most Secret.

Regulations for the tactical employment of the III and IV Battle Squadrons.

1. The newly formed IV Battle Squadron is to be under the immediate control of the Commander-in-Chief, and combined with the I and III Battle Squadrons in the line of battle. [Corrected by order of Commander-in-Chief, No. 339]. The exceptional circumstances mentioned in tactical order No. 16, with regard to the II Battle Squadron, do not apply to the IV Battle Squadron.

2. The III and IV Battle Squadrons are not subdivided in divisions. For these two squadrons, movements by "squadrons" or "divisions" have the same meaning and are to be executed in the same manner.

3. The organisation mentioned in exercise regulations, Fig 127, last paragraph does not apply to the III and IV Battle Squadrons.
