There is a new memorial in Liverpool, United Kingdom, dedicated to the Merchant Seamen of both World Wars. The inscription on the monument reads:
Dedicated to the men and women who gave their lives willingly
for the freedom of others and have no grave but the sea.
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
we will remember them.
