WWI Naval Bibliography
Naval Biography - Books (German)
- Burkner, Hans Erinnerugen und Gedanken eines Kriegsschiffbauers.

Memoirs of a German constructor of the dreadnought era.
- Plivier, Theodor Des Kaisers Kulis
Berlin, 1930.
(courtesy of Michael Phillips (mike@CRONAB.DEMON.CO.UK)) A translation was published in the US in 1931 by Alfred
Knopf Inc. as "The Kaiser's Coolies".
- Stoelzel, Kontreadmiral a.D. Erhenrangliste der Kaiserliche Marine 1914-1918
Berlin, 1930.
(courtesy of Stuart R. Haller (seydlitz@sprynet.com)) It contains the names of all officers in the Imperial German
Navy and related branches thereof. It tells when the officer was born, the
posts held from the period 1914-1918, and is sorted into sections by rank of
the officer at the close of WWI. At 1888 pages, there is ALOT of
useful information. Especially considering the destruction of IGN naval
personnel records during the Second World War.
